CheckWare was established as a result of many years of experience with patients suffering from chronic pain and other functional, somatic complaints. The treatment of patients with indistinct, chronic pain involves many different specialist disciplines and levels, and quality treatment requires efficient coordination between the health service elements. The need for assessment and follow-up is often greater then resources available at the general practitioners office and within specialized health care. However, we believe there is a considerable potential to improve treatment through making use of new solutions.

Our aim is to increase the quality of health care for patients with these disabilities by combining superior academic expertise with modern technology. As a result we have developed Checkware Pain Analysis, which enables web-based clinical assessments to be used as a supplement to medical diagnostics. Our wish is to give the patient faster and better treatment,reduce the time needed for evaluation, and increase the accuracy of referring the patient elsewhere. The pain analysis exists in several variations, tailored for the different parts of health care and is continuously improved through our dialogue with the users.
